Level 1 Handgun

Recommended for: Anybody with an interest in the safe and effective use of handguns. Perfect for those who are considering firearms ownership or who have never received formal training.

Recommended for: Individuals seeking knowledge of defensive pistolcraft
Experience required: Familiarity with firearms; Have taken our Level 1 Handgun course or had similar prior training
Prerequisites: Level 1 Handgun (may be waived if you have had prior firearms safety training)
Equipment required:
  • Handgun (Your own or we can provide at no cost)
  • Holster
  • At least two spare magazines or speed loaders
  • Magazine or speed loader pouches
  • Sturdy belt
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Eye and ear protection (available at no charge)

Concealed Weapons Permits

California CCW - Initial permit (8 hours):

This course is required by the state of California for those who have applied for or wish to renew a Concealed Carry Weapons permit. This course is restricted to those students who are currently applying for or renewing a CCW in San Diego County.
Equipment required:
  • The firearm or firearms that you wish to be placed on your CCW
